In 1983, BMX racing in the UK became even more exciting as NBMXA launched its inaugural season of National and Regional racing, culminating in the NBMXA British Championships at Derby Greyhound Stadium. Geth Shooter, Mark Watkins, Anthony Howells, Mark Cracknell, Nicky Dalton, and the O'Connor brothers were some of the standout names to emerge from NBMXA.
